For the past month or so in class, we have been working on our still life oil painting projects. I am still working on my brunaille underpainting, but I am hoping that because I have a red base and most of my objects are pink and white, I won't have to add as much color other than white. I like how the shoes in my painting look as I have added a lot of detail to them, but they are still unfinished. I am still working on the other pieces of my painting, and I think it will be a while before I am able to get them to a place I am happy with. I've been struggling to work with oil painting because I've been impatient, and like adding lots of paint at once. I am hoping that with more time and practice I will improve. The top image is from the class before last, and the bottom picture is from last class.
