In-class Project Progress Post

I recently finished working on my third in-class project for this year, in which I painted a childhood photo of my brother's best friend looking intently at one of our past family rabbits. I hoped to convey ideas of youth and springtime with azaleas, daffodils, and tulips, as well as budding branches. My goals for this piece were to include more intentional white space and work on composition. I like what I did with the white space, but I think I will add more budding branches over winter break so that the border doesn't feel so empty. I also want to darken the light blue background a bit to highlight the detailed painting I did on the boy and the bunny. This piece was a lot of fun!
