This week we continued working on our third in-class projects. I'm painting another watercolor piece, this time of an old photo of me as a baby with one of our past pet bunnies. It's been a while since I practiced painting watercolor animals, and even longer since I've painted people, so I wanted to get some practice. In my home project, I used a gridding method to sketch out my piece before painting it, and I liked the control it gave me, so I'm using the same technique again. Last class I started painting toward the end, and even though I don't have much paint on the paper yet, I like how it looks so far. I've been focusing more on control and being intentional with paint strokes, especially because the paper I'm working on can't handle too much wetness. I'm excited to keep working!
