Earlier this week, we took a mini field trip to see the current exhibition of art pieces from Henrico High School's CFA, and walk around the workspaces at Art Works Inc. It was great both to get inspiration from the work there and see the space that our senior shows will be held in. In the CFA exhibit, one of my favorite pieces was a smaller painting of fish in a market. I also really loved another painting by the same artist, of a spice tray at a restaurant. The colors and textures of those paintings created a very strong mood, and their content came across really well. I also loved walking through the halls of Art Works to see all of the different artist workspaces. I hadn't known that there were so many opportunities to create art in tight-knit communities after high school in college, so it was great to see. I hope to be a part of one of these communities someday.
