This past week we started working on our Artist Copy projects! I've been working on scaling up a John William Waterhouse drawing, which was originally drawn in chalk. I decided to use chalk pastel to be accurate to the original medium, but it's been tricky to get the hang of, especially since it's so difficult to get the small details. I'm glad I've been able to erase parts though, and I'm hoping that as I spend more time drawing it'll become easier to replicate the artist's mark.
